Hooking Up 3-Space: Three-Dimensional Models as Fully-Fledged Hypermedia Documents

This paper examines the incorporation of three-dimensional models into hypermedia systems as fullyedged documents. Their use provides hypermedia authors with an additional, powerful means of presentation. Display, linking, navigational, and authoring aspects of 3D hypermedia documents are discussed and are illustrated with examples taken from the Harmony Viewer for the Hyper-G hypermedia information system.
